Aly Madhavji

Aly Madhavji (born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada) is an emerging global business leader, an internationally-acclaimed author who attended Moscrop Secondary School, earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, an MBA from INSEAD, and is a 2018 Yan Bin Fellow of the Schwarzman Scholars Program. He is known for his “Your Guide to” series featuring 3 books including a 2015 International Book Awards Winner “Your Guide to Succeed in University”. [1] [2] [3] He has worked with charities such as Books With Wings, the Access Empowerment Council, Advantage Mississauga, the Aga Khan Foundation for Canada, and several others in improving the lives of students and youth in struggling environments. Emerging Global Business Leader

Aly has served on the Board of Directors of the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Student Union during his first year at the University of Toronto while pursuing his Bachelor of Commerce. During his third year, Aly became the President of the University of Toronto Mississauga Residence Council, after having received the Residence Ambassador of the Year award the previous year. During his senior year, Madhavji served as Governor of the University of Toronto, representing 42,000 students across the university. [5] He holds the title of Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations. He has served on the Board of Directors of the University of Toronto Mississauga Alumni Association and the College of Electors of the University of Toronto. Following his graduation from the University of Toronto in 2012, he joined the Assurance Group at PwC as Senior Associate serving senior clients in various fields and then worked in the consulting division on corporate turnarounds in North and South America. Internationally-Acclaimed Author

Aly Madhavji has written three books as a part of a series known as the “Your Guide to” series, including “Your Guide to Succeed in University,” “Your Guide to Get Into Medical School,” and “Your Guide to Succeed After Graduation.” Madhavji travels to different universities across the country, inspiring and energizing college students with his advice and tips for pursuers of higher education including university, after graduation, and whilst applying to medical school. Your Guide to Succeed in University

This book was named an Award-Winner of the 'College Guides' category of the 2015 International Book Awards. [12] The book was also recognized as an Award-Winning Finalist in the 2014 USA Best Book Awards [13] and the #1 College Book on Amazon. [14] This book explores university as a very stressful time in a student’s lives, particularly transitioning from the high school to the university setting smoothly and being able to cope with the change in setting and course load. Your Guide to Get Into Medical School

This book was named an Award-Winning Finalist of the "Education/Academic" books category of the 2017 International Book Awards. [19] This book attempts to break down the barriers of the oftentimes long and complicated medical school application process. The book features accounts from real people who have successfully completed their medical school journey, giving a student-to-student perspective. Students are encouraged to reach out for mentoring and networking opportunities early on in their medical school careers, as they will be able to get real-world, hands-on experience in the demanding field of medicine. Your Guide to Succeed After Graduation

This book is a compilation of wisdom and advice segments to new and upcoming graduates, who are faced with the challenges of a high unemployment rate and high disengagement in the workplace rate. This guide for recent graduates seeks to conquer their fears head on and reassure students of the comprehensive resources there are out there for graduates, promoting confidence and courage as virtues for success.
