Alysa Nahmias

Alysa Nahmias is a director, producer, and writer of documentary films. She is the founder of Ajna Films, an award-winning production company. [1] [2] Nahmias has been featured in Filmmaker Magazine as an independent film innovator, [3] and is a Sundance Institute Fellow and a Film Independent Fellow. [4] [5] She was also the co-author of a Sundance Creative Distribution Case Study on Unrest. [6]. Nahmias directed Unfinished Spaces, which won an Independent Spirit Award in 2012 and is part of the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection. [7] [8] [9] [10]Her producing credits include Unrest, No Light and No Land Anywhere, Shield and Spear, and Afternoon of a Faun: Tanaquil Le Clercq with creative advisor Martin Scorsese. [11] She holds degrees from New York University and Princeton University. [12]
