Amantia peruana peruana is a subspecies of lanternfly.[1] It is found in Peru.[2]

Description[edit]

The head is red and the prothorax peach. The mesothorax and scutellum are brown. The eyes are red and the tegmen is black to very dark red with bright veins. At the apex of the tegmen, there are 2 wavy fasciae, the more basal one significantly thicker. Spots are also present on the tegmen. The fasciae and the spots will differentiate it from Amantia peruana infasciata.[3]

Peruana refers to Peru, where it originates from.
