Amari is a Canadian singer, rapper, and songwriter based in Toronto, Canada.[1] She is best known for her collaboration with Indian-Canadian singer, AP Dhillon, on their single "Ma Belle"; the song peaked on Apple Music and iTunes charts in India. [2] [3]

Amari began her career in 2017 with her poem titled "I Have Seen". The poem was nominated by the Poetry Institute of Canada, and was subsequently published in their national anthology titled "Passages of the Heart".[4]
Amari started her music career in March of 2021 with her single "Love Don't Cost A Thing". Her collaboration on "Ma Belle" with AP Dhillon in July of 2021 peaked on Apple Music charts in India and entered Canada's Top 40 trending videos on YouTube.[2] "Ma Belle" was also named by CBC as one of twelve "Sounds of the Olympics". [5] In August, her single "Lay It Down" — produced by Trouble Trouble, LNK, and Lasthaze — was featured on several Spotify editorial playlists, including "Mood Rings" and "New Music Friday Canada".[1]
In September 2021, she released "No Mercy", followed by "If You Don't Wanna" in October 2021, which was produced by multi-platinum producer Danny Wolf, and Trouble Trouble.[6] She then released "Some Nights" in December 2021, which was featured in the Spotify editorial playlist, "Mood Rings". [7] In 2021, she garnered over 2 million listeners, 14 million streams, and reached 158 countries on Spotify alone.[8]
