Amaya Elizabeth Espinal (born November 9, 1999) is an American reality television personality. She appeared on the Peacock reality show Love Island USA Season 7 in 2025.
Early life and career
Amaya Espinal was born on November 9, 1999 in New York City, New York[1]. She is of Dominican descent. She became a licensed cardiac registered nurse in December 2021 and worked in a New York hospital prior to her appearance on Love Island USA in 2025[2].
Television
Espinal entered the Love Island villa as a bombshell on Day 5. She quickly stood out for her charisma, humor, confidence, and authenticity, becoming an instant fan favorite. She is affectionately referred to as "Amaya Papaya" by herself and fans. Throughout the season, she was involved in many unsuccessful connections, such as with Ace Greene, Austin Shepherd, and Zak Scakrew, but she ultimately ended up in a couple with Bryan Arenales.
