Vanderpool is the creator of SHERO[1] newsletter (Substack), a bi-weekly publication that tackles the political and legal issues facing women but affecting everyone. She also launched the SHERO[2] podcast in January 2022[3] on Callin She is a contributor to Playboy, The Independent, and the BBC[4], and regularly appears as a political pundit on podcasts[5][6], radio[7][8] and other media[9][10][11]. She is a licensed attorney who has focused her legal career on advocating for the rights of women and children with special needs.
Vanderpool has a large Twitter[12] following, where she tweets often about breaking news[13], court cases of interest[14], politics[15], women's issues[16], humor[17], and life in general[18].
Personal Life
Vanderpool was born and raised in Arizona and spent the majority of her upbringing in Tucson. She was greatly influenced by her parents: her father was an English teacher and writer and her mother is a former prosecutor and judge.
Education
Vanderpool graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in Oklahoma City, where she was the Oklahoma State President for the National Organization for Women. While she was in law school, she clerked for the Oklahoma State Supreme Court, the Oklahoma City Public Defender , and the Pinal County Prosecutor in Arizona. Vanderpool also frequently protested for abortion rights within the conservative community of Oklahoma and actively worked to advance women’s rights at the state and national levels. She attended George Washington University in Washington, DC, and finished her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and English at the University of Arizona.
