Amelie Brodeur (born in Montreal, Canada) is a Québecoise-Born flutist[1]
Biography[edit]
Raised in Montreal, Brodeur studied flute performance at the Universite de Montreal and graduate studies in performance at Concordia University. She is also the Founder of The Montreal Flute Festival that went on from 2016 to 2018 and co-hosted with Flautist Alexa Still. Brodeur is also founder[2] of The Flute Channel a Music Video and Music Education Channel on YouTube for which has over 112,000+ subscribers and over 15 Million views.[3]
Music career[edit]
She's continues to hold the post of principal flute with Orchestre 21 under the baton of Paolo Bellomia where she has performed as solo flute for notable concertos of Gilles Tremblay (composer) and Jacques Hetu.[4]
A recording of her performance of Niccolò Paganini's 24th Caprice was released on YouTube in 2020 and went viral and has over 100,000 views. She has also recorded the works of Vivaldi's 4 Seasons, Villa-Lobos and many other notable works. Brodeur has also transcribed and recorded the violin concerti (4 seasons) of Vivaldi and the 24th caprice of Niccolò Paganini for flute.
