The show runs at 9 PM central standard time from Monday through Friday. America First began as a minor show on Right Side Broadcasting network, but rose to relative fame once hosted on YouTube. In February of 2020, America First with Nicholas J. Fuentes was removed from YouTube for violating their terms of service regarding hate speech.[1] The show went on to exist on DLive, before again being removed for violations of hate speech following the events of January 6th.[2] America First is today hosted on Americafirst.live, Nicholas J. Fuentes' personal website.

Content and political angle[edit]

The show usually lasts from 2 to 4 hours. It is divided into three segments: The first story, the main story, and the "super-chats". The super-chats is a name that derives from the show's presence on YouTube. Super-chats are paid messages that Fuentes read out loud live on the air towards the end of the show. The messages usually consists of commentary regarding the featured show, humor, music, or internet culture in general.

America First with Nicholas J. Fuentes largely focuses on issues in line with the [[America First Foundation]], a non-profit led by Nicholas J. Fuentes, who, in their own words; "...are determined to restore the once great nation our forefathers built with their blood, sweat, and tears. A nation that once valued family, decency, Christianity, and its European cultural roots."[3] The show frequently covers topics such as immigration, foreign relations, demographic change, and the LGBTQ+, from a hardline right-wing perspective.

Controversies[edit]

Fuentes and his show has frequently been the subject of controversy.[4][5][6] In 2017, Fuentes fell out of relations with RSBN after calling for the hanging of journalists working for CNN.[7]. The most noteworthy of Fuentes' controversies since has been regarding the holocaust. In 2019, Fuentes built upon a paid message sent by one of the viewers of his show, in which he contested the historical number of jews killed during the holocaust through a cookie-baking analogy.[8] Fuentes has since often been called a holocaust denier, a term he fervently denies. While interviewed by The Washington Post, Fuentes stated that the interaction was a "lampoon". He continued by saying that he believes the official numbers regarding the holocaust death toll, stating "I’ve never denied the Holocaust,"[8]
