American Boogeywoman is an upcoming American thriller drama film written and directed by Daniel Farrands. The film stars Peyton List, Tobin Bell, Lydia Hearst, Nick Vallelonga and Swen Temmel. The film is a prequel to Monster.
Synopsis[edit]
It tells the story of Aileen's early life in 1976 when "she married an older and wealthy Yacht Club president only to wreak havoc on her new family and Florida high society."

Production[edit]
During an interview the producer Lucas Jarach talk about the film and say: "Most Americans know about Aileen Wuornos' infamous killing spree as seen through the Oscar winning film Monster, but what they don't know are the details from her early life and the build-up of events that drove her to commit such horrific crimes. We look forward to bringing a new perspective to this incredible true story that has so much more to give audiences around the globe."[2][3] On March 16, 2021, it was announced that Voltage Pictures acquired the worldwide rights of American Boogeywoman, a prequel to Monster.[4][5]
