American Management University (AMU) is for-profit university, specializing in business programs, operating in the state of California under a special exemption for universities sponsored by bona fide trade organizations. [1]

Academics[edit]

According to the university's website, it has been operating since 2018 and is accedited by ASIC UK[1]. Currently the university offers six degrees: Doctor of Business Administration, Doctor of Strategic Leadership, Master's in Management and Leadership, Master of Business Administration, Master of Sports Management, and a Bachelor of Business Administration. However, the Bachelor of Business Administration cannot be fully completed at the university as students need to transfer in as an upper-division student. In addition, students are able to select from different concentrations such as Marketing, International Business, Leadership, Project Management, and Sports Management.

Accreditation Status[edit]

AMU is accredited by ASIC UK and is actively seeking additional accreditations. AMU boasts active memberships with multiple organizations including the International Alliance of Business Professionals[2], the United States Distance Learning Association[3], the National Business Education Alliance and the Council for Business Teaching and Research.[4]
