The American University in Switzerland (AUS) is a private university located in Switzerland.[3][4]
History[edit]
The American Graduate School of Business was established in September 1991 as a non-profit, private institution of higher education.[5] It is based on the American paradigm, offering Undergraduate and Graduate programs in Business Administration, with a special emphasis on the cross-cultural commercial environment, providing knowledge for start-ups, family businesses, and managerial positions.[6]
In 2019 the American Graduate School of Business rebranded to the American University in Switzerland to reflect its growing status within international education.[7][promotion?]
Academic programs[edit]
AUS offers English-language Business Education programs. Programs are classified at undergraduate and graduate level and include Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programs in Business Administration (BSBA, MIBA and DBA).[8] Emphasis is placed on practical experience throughout with the guidance of professionals in the field and support of fellow students as well as alumni. Bachelor and Masters programs are offered in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Luxury Management, Fashion Management.
AUS teaches students the skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) through integrating the hard and soft skills our students will need to be competitive in the coming decades. Through experiential and student-centered learning, AUS is exposing its students to real-life scenarios so they can develop the necessary skills to thrive. In 2020, the American University in Switzerland (AUS), reviewed and updated its curriculum to give our students a edge post-graduation in the fourth industrial revolution (4IR).[9]
