Amethyst is a fictional character from the 2013 animated series Steven Universe, created by Rebecca Sugar. She is a "Gem", a fictional alien being that exists as a magical gemstone projecting a holographic body. Amethyst is a character with a rebellious and childlike personality and a bit of a self-image crisis.
Character[edit]
Together with Pearl, Garnet, and protagonist Steven, Amethyst is one of the Crystal Gems, a group of Gems that protect humanity and the Earth from danger. She was created on Earth in the Kindergarten, a place that is really a project by the Gem Homeworld to transform natural resources into a Gem-occupied world. Amethyst has been described as "rowdy".[3]
