Amit Kumar Choubey is an Indian politician belonging to the Aam Aadmi Party. He has contested for member of the 16th Lok Sabha at Purvi Champaran (Lok Sabha constituency), losing against [Radha Mohan Singh], Indian Agriculture Minister of Narendra Modi Government, who belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Amit Kumar Choubey, a noble social worker, graduated in Brighton, England, with the Institute of Development Studies, IDS, SUSSEX University, Bihar. He represented the University of Sussex student union in 2009–10 and was IDS Student president before contesting for the 16th Lok Sabha election. Amit has been nominated for a Social Impact Award by the British Council, UK.

Amit completed his B.Tech ECE in 2007 from Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, and has added many feathers to his profile. Achievements can be seen here. Amit's research on Data acquisition systems was appreciated in the USA.

Amit Choubey is a very passionate youth activist and, along with friends, started a Not for Profit Organization called Sanmat in 2007 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Amit, of a sharp mind and an excellent student, bagged awards such as the New Port Spectra Physics award and the SPIE Scholarship, and also had research papers published in the US during his engineering days.

During engineering college days, he wrote Research Papers, presented them at international conferences, and got published in prestigious journals.

Amit has been nominated as a CSR Consultant for the Bihar Chapter by I.I.C.A, Manesar, Government of India.

Amit has worked on PMS, Government of India, and successfully mobilised and empowered 27000 SC, ST Youth through providing access to PMS.
