Amita Zamaana
Amita Zamaana is a Canadian screenwriter, director, and television producer, recognized for her work in both scripted and unscripted film and television.[1][2]
Zamaana's credits include writing and directing the web series, Dhaliwal ‘15, starring Jus Reign and Darla Contois, which marked acting debuts for both performers.[3] Zamaana is also the Senior Producer on The Great Canadian Baking Show.[4] Zamaana independently produced the documentary, Love, Leymo, for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation through her production company Fig. 5 Productions.[5][6]
In 2020, Amita Zamaana received the Harold Greenberg Fund Award for her feature script, Weather Woman, a supernatural drama addressing the climate crisis.[7]
