Prof. Dr. Ammar Hameed Khan (born June 24, 1968) is a Pakistani Cardiovascular Surgeon known for his contribution in the field of Cardiovascular Surgery field. However his work include Child Cardiac Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. Currently he is working in Sialkot at Imran Idrees Teaching Hospital that is located on Daska road, Sialkot.
He is well known for starting Cardiac Surgery Department is the city of Sialkot for the first time in the history. He has successfully performed 450+ surgeries in Sialkot including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, Aortic valve replacement, Mitral valve replacement, Double Valve Replacement, Arterial Septal Defect Closure, ASD plus PAPVR, Arteriovenous Fistula, Blalock-Taussig Shunt, Thromboembolectomy, Tetralogy of Fallot. He has more than 25 years of experience in respective field.

He pursued his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.; B.S.) at King Edward Medical College[1] in Lahore[2][circular reference], Pakistan[3][circular reference], graduating in 1991. His dedication to the field of surgery led him to further his education and training in renowned institutions worldwide.
In 1999, Khan became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons[4] (Edinburgh, U.K.)[5], marking a significant milestone in his career. He also spent time as a Visiting Fellow at the Royal London Hospital[6], London, UK[7], to enhance his surgical skills and successfully passed the Fellowship in Surgery-in-General Examination at Edinburgh.
