Ampang Hospital
Ampang Hospital (Malay: Hospital Ampang) is a Malaysia government-owned public hospital located in Taman Pandan Mewah, Ampang, Selangor. It is located on 10 acres of land with 17 wards and 701 beds.

History
Ampang Hospital is developed under the Seventh Malaysia Plan and began operations in April 2006. The hospital serves as an alternative for residents living in Klang Valley, especially in Ampang, to receive medical treatment.[1]
On 26 April 2021, Ampang Hospital released C-HAT (Centralized Hospital Ampang Treats) application on Android and iOS, allowing patients to receive notifications and view information such as appointments, medicine, latest bills, QMS and news.[2]
On 23 June 2021, during the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia, the Selangor Health Department decided to change Hospital Ampang’s status from a Hybrid COVID-19 Hospital to a Full COVID-19 Hospital following the continuous surge in new daily cases in Selangor.[3] In July 2021, due to a lack of respiratory support, at least 29 Covid-19 patients died on Eid al-Adha at Ampang Hospital due to oxygen pressure imbalances after the facility experienced high-volume usage of oxygen, and increased admission of coronavirus patients requiring high-flow oxygen therapy. On average, the facility recorded about 10 deaths per day from coronavirus.[4]

Ampang Hospital is managed by a Hospital Director and assisted by 3 Medical Deputy Directors and 1 Administration Deputy Director.[5]
