Willa and Hesper

Willa and Hesper (published by Grand Central Publishing) debuted in 2019 and was met with acclaim from The New York Times.[9], Publishers Weekly[10], and Kirkus Reviews[11]. She has also been commended by authors Crystal Hana Kim and Angelica Baker[8]

The novel details the lives of two exes searching for meaning within their own family histories after their breakup. Willa finds value in viewing her Jewish heritage and faith, while Hesper learns about Tbilisi culture and her grandfather's hidden past.[9]. The novel takes part in Lesbian Literature and Jewish Fiction[10], as well as exploring themes of queerness, mental illness[12], and the political turmoil of the 2016 American election[6]. Willa's story is closely tied to Feltman's experience dealing with the remnants of the Holocaust and the struggle to remain religiously faithful in a modern world[6]

As of 2020, Feltman is currently working on a new novel dealing with “PTSD... trauma from current events... gender identity and an engagement with class issues”.[6]
