Amy Phillips is an American television actress and YouTube performer.[1]

Personal life[edit]

Phillips grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She began performing comedy in a childhood friend’s basement for the price of 10 cents. She saved up that money into a costume savings fund for her future ventures in impersonating celebrities with well-known personalities, such as Ellen DeGeneres and Martha Stewart.[2]

She is a great admirer of reality television and comedic parodies, and specializes in impersonations of Bravo stars such as Rachel Zoe and various ‘Real Housewives’.[3]

Phillips attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and expanded her improv study at The Second City Detroit, iO Chicago and The Annoyance Theater.[4]

She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Broadcast Communications from Wayne State University.[5]

Career[edit]

Phillips’ impressions have gained her a fan following on the popular YouTube Channel “Meet Amy Phillips,” and has even drawn the attention of Bravo, Andy Cohen and several Real Housewives, which led to Phillips' appearing on Bravo’s late-night talk show "Watch What Happens: Live".[6]

She has acted on the television series “Cougar Town” and was a regular on VH1’s “Stevie TV.” [7] She shot a pilot for a sketch comedy competition for Fox called "The Biggest Laugh", appears on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM channel "Radio Andy", and hosts her own radio show called “Reality Checked." [8]
