An Qi (Chinese: 安崎; pinyin: Ān Qí; born May 13, 1996) is a Chinese singer, rapper and dancer. She is a member of female idol group HICKEY, managed by Star Entertainment.[1] In 2020, she participated in Youth With You (season 2) and came in 6, securing her place in THE9.[2][3]
Early life[edit]
Born on May 13, 1996 in Chongqing, China.[4]她She has learnt dancing during her younger days and graduated from Guanxi Arts Institute majoring in folk dance. During her break, she became a trainee.[5][6]
History[edit]
2018-2020: HICKEY and Idol Producer[edit]
In 2018, HICKEY debuted with 沦陷。
In 2020, she and 3 other members of HICKEY participated on the reality girl group survival show Idol Producer 3 aired on March 12, 2020.[7] On May 30, 2020, in the finale of Idol Producer 3, An Qi placed 6th with 4,488,806 votes, thus earning a coveted spot in the final ground group, THE9. [8]On July 4, THE9 official Weibo sent out a post stating that An Qi has been selected as the group's leader.[9]
