Biography

Ana Anes was born in Lisbon on April 2nd.

Ana Anes graduated with two degrees in Materials Engineering (FCT-UNL)[1] and Public Relations and Publicity (INP).

Ana Anes is a qualified trainer of the vocational and professional training body Cecoa and attended the Alliance Française de Lisbonne[2].

She’s also a certified Coach, has a Digital Marketing Degree and a Degree in Psychology of Grief.

Ana Anes speaks five languages: Portuguese, French, English, Spanish and Italian, being trilingual from childhood in French, Portuguese and English.

She lived for 3 years in Madrid, is half Portuguese, and descended from New Christians from Covilhã (Iberian Jews who converted to Catholicism from the middle ages) and half Arab of Spanish blood (Anes) from Trujillo where the best gazpacho soups are made! In addition, through family "osmosis" she has been a Parisian for 30 marvellous years.

She began her career in magazines in 1999 in a teenager magazine and then writing for almost all the newspapers and magazines until 2015.

Through her column "7 Years of Bad Sex" for the weekly political broadsheet newspaper "O Independente" (The Independent)[3] that she became famous and which inspired this, her third book of the same name. She is well known for her collaborations with several on-line platforms.

At Endemol[4] she specialised in product placement and soft sponsoring.

Later, in August 2007, at the invitation of Manuel S. Fonseca (ex-Director of a TV Channel Television), as a producer and journalist she produced the first documentary film for television under the supervision of "Valentim de Carvalho" films[5], "Bushy Mush"[6], for SIC[7].

She entertained the morning shows at Rádio Cascais and it all started from there! Later, at Rádio Comercial[8], and the RCP, always invited as a commentator for a wide variety of themes, especially politics and society.

Blogs

She was one of the trailblazers for blogs, in 2003, with anaanes.blogspot, which inspired her first book.

Following on from the programme "Fashion Police" that she registered in IGAC Portugal[9], on line.

Books

*In 2003 published a book of chronicles from her first blog “I'm Waiting for them to Come and Pick Me Up" (Hugin Editores)[10]

*In 2007 in co/authorship, she contributed to the book (My Favourite Word) (with the word “Time”).

*In 2008 her book ("7 Years of Bad Sex - Contrained Chronicles")[11] was published, as compilation of chronicles from the newspaper The Independent, Destak and Maxim publications and some extremely personal and never before published.

New Media

“Women and Sex”[12] Pilot Episode: Co-Scriptwriter and author of the chronicle "Men and Muff Diving" on which the pilot episode was based and was seen by over a million viewers, going viral when the pilot episode was first seen on youtube.

Debuts as an author, producer and presenter of the program ""Fashion Police" - on Sapo Humour" in January, 2011[13].

She

Ana admits that she is a woman of the ether and her friends call her Ana2.0.

She loves everything that is to do with the net, and is an "information junkie" in whatever form it takes.

She loves social networks, TV, radio and yes, she spends hours and hours in front of the laptop, the tablet and the smartphone, and on the phone, like a good ascendant: aquarius.

Like Voltaire said, “Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers.”.

At the moment she is writing her 4th book.

She is a communications consultant, spinner, crisis management, and works from clients all around the globe.
