Ana María Ravaglia (born 1949) is an Argentine teacher and public administrator who served as Undersecretary for Intersectoral and Institutional Liaison at the national Ministry of Education and Sports from January 2016 to July 2017. She previously held senior posts in the City of Buenos Aires Ministry of Education, including Undersecretary for Educational Management and Pedagogical Coordination (2009–2014) and Director-General of State-Managed Education (2008–2009).[1][2][3][4]
Career
City of Buenos Aires (2008–2014)
Ravaglia entered the senior ranks of the Buenos Aires City education portfolio in late 2008, when she was appointed Director-General of State-Managed Education by Decree 1379/2008.[2] In June 2009, Decree 474/2009 rectified aspects of that appointment and recorded her leave of absence from a teaching headship while serving as Director-General.[5]
On 6 February 2009, she was promoted to Undersecretary for Inclusion in Schooling and Pedagogical Coordination (later styled Undersecretary for Educational Management and Pedagogical Coordination). The appointment and the reorganization of the ministry were formalized in the city's official gazette that month.[6] She remained in that role under successive ministers until 22 September 2014, when her resignation from the Undersecretariat was accepted and, simultaneously, she was appointed head of the Special Projects Unit “Federal Education Plan” (UPE) with subsecretariat rank, by Decree 424/2014.[7]
Throughout this period, Ravaglia was frequently cited as the ministry's senior official in charge of coordination with schools and programs, including curriculum design and teacher development initiatives documented in city reports and gazettes.[8][9]

On 14 January 2016, President Mauricio Macri appointed Ravaglia as Undersecretary for Intersectoral and Institutional Liaison at the national Ministry of Education and Sports, effective 8 January 2016.[3] The post reported directly to the minister and was part of the ministry's top-level structure as reorganized in early 2016.[10][11] Her resignation from the national post was accepted with effect from 17 July 2017 by Resolution E 3025/2017.[4]
