Ana Mariano (born 9 June 1997) is a folk-pop singer-songwriter, from Portugal, Europe. In 2019, her first single Ordinary View was selected as a Jury's Choice entry for Novos Talentos Fnac 2019, a CD compilation that has served as a launching pad for several successful Portuguese artists (such as Richie Campbell, Slow J, Capícua and Capitão Fausto).[2][3]
Early life[edit]
Mariano was born in Aveiro, a small coastal town in the northern part of Portugal.[4]
Music[edit]
In July 2019, Mariano spoke to Glam Magazine about her debut single (which was released simultaneously on the FNAC compilation and on all major streaming services). She stated that "Ordinary View is about a love that does not follow rules. It celebrates love in its purest, most unprejudiced state."[5]
