Ana Thu Nguyen is a Vietnamese-Australian actress who will portray Sindel in Mortal Kombat 2[1] and appear in Luke Sparke's adaptation of Ethan Pettus' novel, Primitive War.[2][3]
Early Life
Ana Thu Nguyen was born in Galang Refugee Camp in Indonesia when her parents fled post-war Vietnam by boat.[2] They eventually settled in Sydney, Australia where her parents opened a Vietnamese bakery. After graduating from a double degree in Commerce and Law at the University of Sydney, she went to work at a top management consulting company before resigning to pursue acting.[4]
Career
In 2023, Ana was announced to portray Sindel in Mortal Kombat 2,[5] which will air in October, 2025.[6] She will also appear in Luke Sparke's science-fiction horror, Primitive War.[3]
