Anambra State Broadcasting Service, or ABS, is an Anambra State government-owned and partly commercial broadcaster. It’s 2 FM and 2 TV stations covers Anambra and environs[1].[2] The head office is located in Awka, Anambra state, Nigeria. On 13th February 2018, the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, NBC, certifies, ABS Digital Studios Awka for digital switch over. [3]

In March 2022, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Chief Uche Nwaorah resigned from his position.[4]

Controversies[edit]

On Thursday 24th of March 2022, former employees of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Abs, reportedly held protests in Onitsha Anambra State over the non-payment of over N42m pension arrears allegedly owed them by the administration of Willie [5]Obiano, the former Governor of Anambra state.
