Anantinee "Jhumpa" Mishra

Jhumpa (born December 2007) is one of the youngest Indian authors at the age of ten. She published her debut collection of short stories in 2018. Her collection of stories is inspired by her personal experiences, the flavour of her imagination, and a keen observation of the world around her.

Biography

Jhumpa was born to an Odia middle-class family and brought up in Delhi. Currently, she is pursuing her school studies in New Delhi. She has an incredible passion for literature. Jhumpa's stories were first published in children's magazines when she was only eight years old.

Literary focus

Jhumpa started writing stories at a young age. Her debut book, 'Treasure of Short Stories', was published in 2018. Through her expressive writing, Jhumpa evokes certain deep feelings in her readers that can encourage them to become better, more self-aware human beings. Her stories deal with important issues of bullying, standing up for oneself and one's loved ones, accepting oneself, issues of identity, courage, and friendship.
