Andhra Jyothy
Andhra Jyothy Andhra Jyothy, as a newspaper, news channel, and also through the web, became a forum for analysis, criticism, disputation, commentary, and agenda-building. This Telugu daily was founded on 1 July 1960. Eminent personalities such as Narla Venkateshwara Rao, a noted rationalist, K.L.N. Prasad, an emerging entrepreneur, and a few other friends together started Andhra Printers Private Limited in Vijayawada. Andhra Jyothy daily was inaugurated by the then Minister of Information and Broadcasting, B.V. Keskar, in a ceremony presided over by the then Chief Minister of AP, Damodaram Sanjeevayya. In the beginning, the paper was published in four editions. The year 2000 saw Andhra Jyothy publication ceasing and then it entered a hiatus. During this period, ownership changed hands, and it again restarted operations in 2002 under the guidance of Sri Vemuri Radhakrishna.
