André Valentim Almeida (born 1977) is a Portuguese filmmaker and film editor currently[when?] teaching editing at Lisbon Theatre and Film School.

As a filmmaker, his work has been shown at Doclisboa, IndieLisboa, Visions du Réel, FIDMarseille, Jihlava, DOK Leipzig, CPH:DOX, DMZDocs, MoMA, Carpenter Center for Visual Arts and TEDx Brooklyn among others. He has been commissioned by several institutions to create films exploring archival footage and heritage. His 2013 film The Quest of the Schooner Creoula, won the Doc Alliance Selection Award 2014.[1]
