Andre Sims (born June 12, 1987) is an African-American singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer.[1]

Sims created the song, Endless Mind in 2004, posted it on Instagram and YouTube in 2015, and registered it with the U.S. Copyright Office in January 2020.[1][2]
In June 2020, Sims filed a $3 million complaint in the U.S. District Court in Southern New York that accused the trio and distributor Sony of copyright infringement of his original composition of Endless Mind for their song, Focus, and requested injunctive and monetary relief. In 2021, the copyright lawsuit alleging infringement without consent or compensation reached an undisclosed settlement.[1][2][3]
