Andre Soelistyo is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Indonesia’s GoTo Group (stock code: GOTO), technology company.[1] He is also the CEO of GoTo Financial and the former Co-CEO of ride-hailing company Gojek Indonesia, which merged with e-commerce firm Tokopedia in 2021 to form GoTo.[2]

Soelistyo received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Technology Sydney in 2005.[3]
Career[edit]
Soelistyo joined Gojek in 2015 as its president, concentrating on the consumer services division, including telehealth and personal investment.[4] He was later appointed as the company’s Co-CEO alongside Kevin Aluwi in October 2019, after the company’s former CEO Nadiem Makarim accepted a ministerial post in Indonesia’s government and resigned from Gojek.[5]
Following Gojek’s merger with Tokopedia and the creation of GoTo Group in 2021, Soelistyo took on the role of CEO of GoTo Group.[6]
GoTo IPO and post IPO Loss[edit]
With Soelistyo as the firm's CEO, the company went public (i.e. IPO) on the Indonesian Stock Exchange on 11 April 2022 raising USD 1.1 Billion by selling 4% of its shares. However, the price of the shares fell more than 14% by the end of the same month.[7]
On 30th August 2022, under Soelistyo's leadership GoTo posted a net loss of $954.85 million for the first half of the year. Soelistyo, in a webcast commented on the company's performance blaming the market volatility in 2022 for the loss and also warned that he expected macro economic conditions responsible for volatility to persist for sometime.[8]

On 1 December 2021, Soelistyo was selected to be part of the Bloomberg 50 list, an annual list by the media conglomerate on the ‘people and ideas’ that define global business every year and whose ‘accomplishments deserve recognition’.[9]
