Andrea Hence Evans (November 28, 1976) is an African-American attorney[1]. She launched the intellectual property law practice, The Law Firm of Andrea Hence Evans, LLC. Attorney Evans career path is unique since she worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for 5 years as both a patent examiner and a trademark examining attorney after graduating from law school.[2]

Evans is an alumnus of Spelman College, Georgia Tech, and The George Washington University Law School.[3][4][5][4]

Evans was a former patent examiner and trademark attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office[5]. She is a member of the Texas State Bar, United States Patent and Trademark Office Patent Bar, and United States Supreme Court Bar.

Evans is a consultant, mentor, and guest on the television show Make48, which airs on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)[6].

Evans is also a proponent of exposing young students to STEM at an early age, and her work was featured by Champions of Change, a program started by President Barack Obama[7]
