Andrej Stojanovic

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Andrej Stojanović (born 2012) is a Serbian-Norwegian classical composer and pianist, hailed by international media as a child prodigy and one of the youngest composers in Europe. Born and raised in Norway to Serbian parents, Andrej displayed extraordinary musical abilities from an early age. Although he was nearly deaf until the age of three, he began composing music by the age of four and wrote his first symphonic work at the age of seven.[1]

According to N1 Television, Andrej "enchants with his talent" and is often referred to as the "Little Mozart from Norway" due to his exceptional musical intuition and compositional maturity at such a young age.[2] His early compositions were written by hand, with remarkable structure and harmonic understanding, surprising even seasoned professionals. He currently studies piano and composition under private mentorship in Oslo, Norway, while performing and composing regularly.

Musical Career

By the age of six, Andrej had already composed numerous piano miniatures, and by eight, he performed in front of a full hall at the Norwegian Academy of Music (Musikkhøgskole) in Oslo. His compositions have since been performed in major cities including London, New York, Rome, and Belgrade.

He is the youngest composer ever featured on national radio and television broadcasts in both Serbia and Norway. In addition to his solo performances, Andrej has composed original music for several short films and documentaries. Notably, he co-wrote the score for the historical film 33 Angels, which tells the story of Serbian suffering during World War II.[3]

In 2021, Andrej held an online Christmas concert that garnered thousands of viewers worldwide and was covered by British and Serbian media.[4]

His works are available on platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, and TikTok, and his compositions span solo piano, orchestral pieces, chamber music, and film scores. As Blic writes: "He is the youngest classical composer who already has an international audience."[5]
