"Andreshko" is a story written by Elin Pelin.

The story of "Andreshko" is about the journey of a bailiff in the wagon of the peasant Andreshko, who is on his way to take the wheat of a poor man who goes by the name of Stanoia. The bailiff doesn't try to hide his pride and his enmity towards village folk, whom he believes to be tricksters. Unfortunately for him, the wagon's driver turns out to be just like that. In order to save the poor man, Andreshko stops the wagon and leaves the bailiff in the middle of a swamp in a cold, dark night just outside the village so he can warn Stanoia of the danger.
