Andrew Baxter

Andrew Baxter is a British-born Australian investor, investment educator, author and entrepreneur.

He is the founder of Australian Investment Education, author of The Wealth Playbook: Your Ultimate Guide To Financial Security.[1] and is also known for media commentary on investment markets.

Early life and education

Baxter was born in Swindon, England. He studied at the University of Bradford before beginning his career in investment management in London during the early 1990s.

Career

After relocating to Australia in 1999, Baxter founded Australian Investment Education[2], a Registered Training Organisation[3] specialising in investment and trading education. He later established several businesses including Grange Financial Services Pty Ltd[4][5] and Blunsdon Capital Management[6].

Media

Baxter has been a regular financial commentator on Australian television, digital media and business publications. He has been interviewed on the Nine Network's Today program[7] and Seven Network's Your Money Your Life, and is a monthly contributor to Australian online business show, Ausbiz[8].

He appears on online trading forum HotCopper and hosts the Money and Investing podcast[9], a weekly show covering investment markets, trading and personal finance.

Publications

In 2023, Baxter published The Wealth Playbook: Your Ultimate Guide To Financial Security, an educational investment book covering the fundamentals of money and wealth creation.

Halifax Investment Services

Baxter was a director at Halifax Investment Services before resigning from the board in 2016.

He then commenced legal proceedings in the Supreme Court of Queensland alleging breaches of directors' duties by the company and members of its board[10]. Halifax Investment Services entered liquidation in 2018. Following the administration and liquidation process, 12,000 investors received their money back[11]

Personal life

Baxter lives in New South Wales, Australia, with his wife Emma and their children.

He and his wife support charitable organizations including the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation[12] and the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Foundation.[13]
