Andrew F. Johnson
Andrew F. Johnson (born 1984) is an assistant professor of management at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.[1] He is a native of Stephenville, Texas. He has served as a local elected official and an appointed official for a state representative.
Education[edit]
Johnson earned a PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in strategic management from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015. His PhD dissertation is titled "Strategic leaders as determinates of corporate political activity."[2] He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, Master of Science in Liberal Studies, and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Tarleton State University, a member of the Texas A&M University System. His MA thesis is titled "Decisions at the polls: Impact of campaign tactics in nonpartisan local elections."[2]
Political Experience[edit]
Johnson was elected to the Stephenville City Council, place 4, in 2004 at the age of 19.[3] Johnson was reelected in 2006 and did not seek re-election in 2008.[3]
He served as Chief of Staff to Texas State Representative J. D. Sheffield from 2013 to 2015 during the 83rd and 84th legislative sessions.[4]
