Andrew Hammer
Andrew Hammer (born June 9, 1988) is a film and television Art Director and Production Designer. He was formally trained as an architect at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc) and Denmark's Arkitektskolen Aarhus.
Hammer's residential architecture experience began in 2004 with the design of the Modugno and Tigar Residences in the West Ranch Estates of Santa Clarita. In 2011 he began working with experimental architecture and design firm Oyler Wu Collaborative. Working on a variety of projects from installations to residential and institutional buildings. Projects such as Netscape,[1] Screenplay[2], Stormcloud, Hi Res Low Rise and the Monarch Taipei Tower.
In 2013 Hammer landed at a renowned award-winning design build firm, Arya Group, to create innovative residential and hospitality projects such as 822 Sarbonne,[3] and Bernardus Lodge[4]. While there he specialized in luxury residential projects ranging from 9 to 177 million. As part of the design team on an estate for Serge Azria (27740 E Pacific Coast Hwy), the property later sold for 177 million to Marc Andreessen, breaking a California state record.[5][not in citation given]
Hammer later parlayed these design skills into the entertainment industry where he formed Andrew Hammer & Co. a design practice focused on production design, set design and residential architecture. With the Las Vegas Golden Knights Training Facility being one of the first projects, that list would continue with shows such as Dancing With the Stars, The Price is Right, The Masked Singer, Family Food Fight, and All That - Nickelodeon.
Hammer is a member of IATSE Local 800 Art Directors Guild and the Television Academy
