Andrew Higginbotham
Andrew Higginbotham (born March 5, 1969) is a British-born American technology executive and entrepreneur known for co-founding several start-ups including Privista, Ironmill, StackPath and, most recently, MyAccident.org. Andrew was an executive at CenturyLink between 2001 and 2014 and was widely credited for CenturyLink's entry into cloud computing.[1][2][3]. Following the acquisition of Savvis[4] he led subsequent acquisitions of AppFog[5] and Tier3[6] positioning CenturyLink as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for cloud. His departure in 2014 sparked concern about the long-term cloud ambitions of the telecom giant.[7][8] In 2015, Higginbotham founded Missouri-based Ironmill LLC to explore ideas and concepts in cybersecurity, and after partnering with Lance Crosby, they raised $150 million from Abry Partners, a Boston-based private equity company [9]. Following the fundraising, the Missouri entity of Ironmill LLC was dissolved and re-established in Delaware. StackPath was subsequently formed, where Higginbotham served as COO until October 2017. After leaving StackPath, he built and launched the Texas-based start-up MyAccident.org, providing data services to legal and insurance markets.
Born in Glossop, United Kingdom at the age of 28, he emigrated to the US and became a US citizen in 2012.
