Andrew J. Kerman

Andrew J. Kerman is a physicist at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He pursues research in superconducting microelectronic devices for quantum and classical applications.

He has written numerous papers on superconducting devices, including Raman side-band cooling, Josephson-junction-based qubits, SNSPDs, and quantum-phase-slip circuits.[1]

He received a BS degree in physics and mathematics from Williams College and a PhD degree in physics from Stanford University, followed by postdoctoral research at the MIT/Harvard Center for Ultracold Atoms and the Yale University Physics Department.[2]
