Andrew McKeough (born July 26, 1996) is an American actor.[1] He is most known for his role as John Carter in Turn: Washington's Spies.

Biography[edit]

McKeough is an actor, singer and photographer from Wayne, Pennsylvania on the Philadelphia Main Line.[2] McKeough went to high school at Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania and college at Villanova University where he was deeply involved in their film, music, theater and photography programs.[3][4] McKeough also is credited for supporting roles in Dolphin Tale 2, John Adams, Life in Pieces, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Code Black.[5] McKeough is also known for his roles portraying Harry Potter (character) in different short films and television shows.[6][7][8][9] McKeough was nominated for a 2012 Cappie Award for creativity for his work on Titanic (musical).[10][11] He would go on to be a member of groups that won many additional Cappie Awards.[12][13] McKeough has won many National History Day competitions in the Individual Performance category. McKeough is also very musically talented, having been on multiple tours including three European concert tours where he performed in over 10 countries in total.[14][15] McKeough has been featured in many different parades and special events including two of Disney's Candlelight Processional in the America Gardens Theater at Epcot's The American Adventure (Epcot) in 2012 and 2014. McKeough has close personal ties to singers Jackie Evancho and Christina Grimmie.[16][17] McKeough's vocal coach is Jennie Eisenhower.[18]

Personal life[edit]

McKeough began dating close friend and production manager Ashden Personius on March 19, 2016.[19] The two met on the set of the play The Pillowman at Villanova University in 2015.

Relationship with Christina Grimmie[edit]

McKeough met singer Christina Grimmie in October 2011 after Grimmie performed on the Ellen Show while McKeough was in Los Angeles for a screen test. It was long rumored that McKeough and Grimmie had a relationship.[20] Some believe that Grimmie's song 'Without Him' was written about him.[21] McKeough and Grimmie were both in Orlando, Florida performing concerts on June 10, 2016 which was the night Grimmie was shot.[22]
