Andrew T. Heath is an American judge and lawyer. Heath practiced law in Wilmington, North Carolina at the firm of Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo LLP until resigning to accept a post in former North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory’s Administration. From 2013 to 2015, he served as the Chairman of the North Carolina Industrial Commission[1], the agency responsible for managing North Carolina's workers' compensation system. In 2015, Heath was asked to join the Governor’s Senior Leadership Team to serve as the State Budget Director and leader of the Office of State Budget and Management.[2] As the State Budget Director, Heath’s primary role was to advise the Governor on the State of North Carolina’s $22.3 billion budget and $500 billion GDP economy. Heath was also responsible for communicating the administration’s taxation and economic policies to the general public and appeared on television, radio and in print media.[3][4][5][6] He also served concurrently as Director of the Office of State Budget and Management, Secretary for the North Carolina Council of State, Ex Officio member of the State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees, member of the North Carolina Council of Internal Auditing, and North Carolina Economic Investment Committee.

In December 2016, Heath was appointed to serve a 5 year term as a Superior Court Judge based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.[7] In May 2017, Judge Heath announced a run for a seat on the Court of Appeals of North Carolina, an election that will take place in November 2018.[8]
