Andrew Zerzan is a former World Bank official and secretary of the working group of the Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Zerzan was born in the United States. He graduated from the University of Toronto with double degrees in politics and economics and later studied financial and commercial regulation at the London School of Economics.

Career

Zerzan has worked on initiatives at the United Nations, the World Bank, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to transform how the poor move financial assets. He and his colleagues developed the first risk assessment tools to help firms and regulators calibrate responses to the actual risks faced, and was awarded the Junior Professional of the Year Award by the World Bank.

In 2006, he was noted for his contribution to a report on information technology by the non-profit think tank RiOS Institute.

He served on the board of the charity The International Debate Education Association (IDEA), both in London and abroad, and volunteered for the non-profit organization West London Zone.

In 2014, he was awarded risk management professional of the year.[4]
