Andrew Abrahams is a Labour Party politician. He is the third directly elected mayor of Mansfield in the United Kingdom. He was elected in the 2019 election,[1] succeeding Kate Allsop. Before becoming Elected Mayor of Mansfield, he was a teacher and chartered engineer.[2]
Early Life and Personal Life[edit]
Born in Mansfield, he grew up on the Ladybrook estate, his children were educated in Mansfield and his father worked at Crown Farm Colliery.[3]
Mayor[edit]
Abrahams was elected Mayor of Mansfield on 2 May 2019, beating incumbent Mayor Kate Allsop by two votes.[4]
