Andrew Michael Cobb (born October 21, 1986) is a professional auto racer[1][2][3][4] and actor from Darby, Florida. Cobb was born in Tampa, Florida.

Early life and racing career

In 1991, he began kart racing at the age of five in World Karting Association sanctioned races. By the age of fifteen, he became a well-known regional competitor. In 2005 Cobb graduated from Land O’ Lakes High School. While in school Cobb continued racing cars and drag racing boats. In 2009 Cobb partnered with country music icons The Bellamy Brothers and moved into racing Dirt Late Models competing in the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series, as well as the National Late Model Series. In 2013 Cobb competed in the newly formed Bubba Army 360 Sprint Car Series, a series formed and owned by radio shock jock Bubba The Love Sponge. Cobb finished third in championship points for the season scoring several top five finishes.[5]The Bubba Army Series did not return for the 2014 season. For 2014 Cobb hired champion sprint car driver Danny Lasoski to compete alongside him in the World of Outlaws series [6] Cobb currently competes on the national level in winged and non-wing sprint cars throughout the United States in several professional series. [7]

Early in Cobb's racing career he was mentored by National Sprint Car Hall Of Famer David Steele. On December 7, 2013 Cobb was able to compete against Steele in a Top Gun Sprint Series race. This would be the only time Cobb and Steele would compete against each other. Cobb finished tenth in the race and Steele finished twenty third.[8]Upon Steele’s death in 2017 Cobb was quoted on many news outlets as being stunned at the news.[9] Cobb began advocating for stiffer safety rules in sprint car racing.

Acting career

Since 2018 Cobb has starred on an American reality TV show called Honky Tonk Ranch. [10]This show follows the lives of the country music duo The Bellamy Brothers. He plays the role of the Sheriff on the show. On season 1, episode 12 Cobb stars with country music icon Tanya Tucker.[11] On season 2, episode 13,[12] Cobb starred with John Schneider in "Hazzard Revisited". The show airs on the Circle Network.[13] The show currently has three seasons and 39 episodes with season one and two currently being aired. Cobb appears in all three seasons. By the end of the first season the show was streamed in more than sixty six countries and was the most successful show on the Cowboy Channel.[14]
