Andy Rotondaro (born March 3, 1986), also known as Andy Daro, is an American realtor, entrepreneur, and politician.[1] Currently serving as a Commissioner for North Bay Village.[2], Miami, Florida, and is the founder of The Daro Team, a real estate group affiliated with Compass, Inc.[1]

Early life and education

Daro was born and raised in Connecticut. He studied Economics at Manhattanville College and at the American University of Rome. At Manhattanville College, Daro played soccer representing Manhattanville Valiants and ranks amongst the top 10 for most matches played for the university.[citation needed]

Career

Entrepreneurship and Real Estate

In 2011, Daro co-founded the clothing brand HottinDaro. The brand gained recognition as a pioneer of cashmere pants and was sold at retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom. Daro began his career in real estate in 2012, working in New York City. In 2014, Daro relocated to Miami to help establish the Miami office for The Hottinger Team. In 2022, Daro founded The Daro Team, a real estate group operating under Compass, a technology-driven brokerage.[3] Daro has made headlines by brokering large real estate deals such as a $32M estate in Coral Gables.[4] , and a $31M land acquisition in North Bay Village.[5] He has also sold homes to celebrities such as Pit Bull and Jordan Peterson.[6]

Political Career

Daro’s first experience with politics was in 2015, serving as Treasurer for Jose Javier Rodriguez during his campaigns for Florida House District 112 and Florida State Senate District 37. In this position, Daro was responsible for managing campaign finances and supporting overall strategy.[7] In November 2022, Daro was elected as a Commissioner for North Bay Village,[2][7] securing a four-year term. As Commissioner, he has focused on local development. During his term, North Bay Village has approved over $2 billion in development projects, contributing to the growth of the local economy.[1] He has led development of The Island Walk, a pedestrian walkway along the bay in North Bay Village.[8]

Personal life

Daro married Krisztina Rotondaro, a Hungarian-American model, in 2018. The couple had their first child, Aleksander Rotondaro, October 2023, in Miami Beach, Florida. They currently live in North Bay Village.
