Andy Haran (born 25 June 1989 in Drogheda, Republic of Ireland) is an Irish footballer. Haran plays as a striker.

Career[edit]

Haran who hails from Julianstown joined St. Patrick's Athletic at the age of 15 and he came through the youth ranks at the Inchicore club before appearing for their senior and A League teams in 2008. He made his senior debut for the club in a League of Ireland Cup 2nd round match against UCD on 21 April 2008.[1] Haran then spent the latter half of the 2008 season on loan to First Division side Monaghan United where he scored 7 goals in 14 league and cup appearances. Andy signed professional terms with St. Pats in January 2009 in time for the new season.[2] Haran's first competitive goal for the Saints arrived during a 2-1 win over Drogheda United on 20 April 2009 at Richmond Park.[3] As the 2009 season progressed Haran fell out of favour with the then Pats manager Jeff Kenna but he re-signed for the 2010 season under new manager Pete Mahon.[4]

Shortly after putting pen to paper for 2010, Haran was loaned out to First Division side Shelbourne.[5] Haran made just one Leinster Senior Cup appearance for Shels before dislocating his shoulder. At the summer transfer window in 2010, Haran departed St. Patrick's Athletic to join Athlone Town where he scored 3 goals in 8 starts.

Andy has signed for Monaghan United for the second time for the 2011 season.
