Andy Hirschfeld
Andy Hirschfeld is an American Journalist based in New York.[1]
Career[edit]
He is an active contributor to numerous publications including Mic[2], Nationswell[3], OZY[4], Fortune[5], and The New York Observer [6] among others. Occasionally he produce's for Bloomberg TV, writing their First Word and Business Flash segments. He often appear on TV[7], podcasts[8], and radio programs to represent his reporting. His work has been featured on CBS News, DW, Fox Business, CNN International, CNBC, NPR, Al Jazeera and Pacifica Radio.
In the past, he has been involved with award-winning projects at networks including ABC News, CBS News, and CNN among others. He has personally interviewed a wide range of high-profile figures including Bill McKibben, Former Democratic Presidential hopeful Eric Swalwell[9], HUD Secretary Ben Carson[10], singer Rebecca Black[11], and actress Emma Stone.
Early Life[edit]
Andy was born in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas where he holds a degree in sociology and journalism. He is also a graduate of the White Mountain School in New Hampshire. He is the son of doctor Robert Hirschfeld[12] and journalist Ellen Kingsley [13] He has one brother Teddy Hirschfeld and two sisters Julie Hirschfeld and Sasha Hirschfeld.
Prior to journalism, he worked in environmental and urban development. He worked with the Sierra Club, Houston Tomorrow, and The Texas Campaign For The Environment.
