Andy Stapp (born 1975) is an American filmmaker, director and reality television personality. He is known for his film Destination Marfa and his appearances on shows including Car Warriors and Overhaulin'.

Early life[edit]

Stapp was born in 1975 and raised in Lockney, Texas. He completed his studies from Lockney High School in 1993 and is the owner of Stapp Airbrush Extreme, an auto body repair shop.[1] He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and trained Marines on military bases in America, Japan and Australia.[2]

Career[edit]

Stapp is the writer, director and executive producer of Destination Marfa, a film on Marfa, Texas and its notable Marfa lights. He started working on the film in 2011.[3][4] The film stars Tony Todd and Stelio Savante and premiered at the Manhattan Film Festival.[5][6]

He has appeared in automotive reality television shows including Car Warriors, Overhaulin' and Search and Restore.[3][1][7] He is also an airbrush artist and has had his work featured in popular films including Fast & Furious, Faster, Numbers, and Indiana Jones Movies.[8]
