Climate Advocacy[edit]

Angela has lived with thick smog in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, since moving there when she was 17 to train for the Mathematical Olympiads. She lived with her aunt, who had cardiovascular disease, which grew worse with the dense air pollution and, ultimately, led to her untimely death.[7]

In April 2020, Angela founded EnRoute. EnRoute is a free mobile app that helps users make simple daily choices to reduce their carbon footprint and has already guided thousands of users to reduce more than 100,000kg of CO2 emissions. In 2021, she was named a We Are Family Foundation Global Teen Leader.[8] In 2021 for her work with EnRoute, she was named a National Geographic Society Young Explorer.[9] Additionally, she was a European Young Innovator by World Summit Awards. [10] She represented North Macedonia at the United Nations Youth4Climate Event. [11] She had a key role in drafting the UNICEF Youth Climate Declaration, where she called youth to action. [12] She received the 2021 Diana Award. [13]

In 2022, Angela was a delegate at the One Young World Summit, as one of the ten Deloitte Scholars.[14] She won the Emerging Leader Award at the annual Hoff Award Ceremony at Lafayette College. [15] She was an expert consultant through the Youth To The Table partnership between SAP, and We Are Family Foundation. [16]

In 2022, Angela was listed as Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Social Impact Category.[17] [18]

Education[edit]

In 2022, she presented her research: Thermal Imaging Applied to Building Pathology Documentation: an Initial Modeling Approach at the Undergraduate Research Symposium at Lehigh University.[19] Her research Exploring the Perceived Complexity of 3d Shapes: Towards a Spatial Visualization VR Application was published at IDETC 2022, conference organized by American Society of Mechanical Engineers. [20] She is currently working to develop an online dashboard of sustainability initiatives and resources that will be open to the public. [21]
