Angela Proctor is a British children's author who lives in Glasgow. She has published three children's novels,[1] in the Thumble Tumble book series [2] which follow the adventures of an extraordinary little witch called Thumble Tumble on the magical Isle of Arran.[3]

Early life[edit]

Proctor was born and brought up in the east end of Glasgow [4]_ with her mother Jessie, and her father Daniel. She has one younger brother, and both attended Whitehill Secondary School.

Career[edit]

Proctor began writing after the death of her mother in 2014. She wrote her first novel, Thumble Tumble and the Ollpheist [5] as a way to help her deal with the grief. Since then she's published two further novels, Thumble Tumble and the Cauldron of Undry [6] and Thumble Tumble and the Eagalach Cup [7] through her publisher Forth Books. [8] Angela uses the book series to help raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity who looked after her mum in her last months. [9]
