Sophia Montero (born 22 June 2004), known professionally as Angelic Montero, is an American singer, songwriter, model, and social media personality. She gained fame after her cover of Katy Perry’s Roar gained numerous views on YouTube. Since then, she had released original songs via The Architects Group [1] and Republic Records. Her family are Venezuelan immigrants and she has 2 brothers and 1 sister.[2] Angelic is also bilingual; she can speak fluent Spanish and English.[3] In 2019, her ex-manager deleted her YouTube channel [4] for unknown reasons and launched a new YouTube channel consisting of some of her original music.[5]

Sophia Montero was born in Miami, Florida on 22 June 2004. Her parents are originally from Venezuela. She later moved to Los Angeles, California. She grew up with two brothers and a younger sister.
Music career[edit]
Angelic started singing at the age of nine years old. [6] She began her career via YouTube in 2013. She went viral with a cover of American singer Katy Perry’s Roar. On June 2018, she released her debut original song, Because of U.[7]
2019-present; Signing with The Architects Group and debut mixtape You Get Me?[edit]
In 2019, she signed with The Architects Group and released her first song under the label, Curfew.[8] In June 2019, she released her second song under the label, Lost in the City,[9] along with a Spanish remix of the song on 20 September 2019.[10] Angelic released her final single under the label, Cater 2 Me,[11] on May 2020, for her then-upcoming debut mixtape, You Get Me. She then signed with Republic Records. It was released on 23 October 2020.[12] She has worked for companies such as Dreamworks, singing songs for films and racking up over 70,000 followers across social media platforms.[13]
