Angelo Karagiannis is a teacher of physical education[1][2], a high performance coach[3] and a long distance runner[4][5] who has published the eBook 'Secrets of accelerating the process of learning English'[6][7]. Recently, his article on leading an effective training program for an after school sports team was published by Nord Anglia Education.[8]His background in teaching[9] and coaching [10][11] has contributed in motivating adults to adopt a healthy life style[12]. In 2017 he run an event to support charity fundraising, in the form of a 50 kilometre trail foot race[13][14], which raised funds for the HDF Mercy centre in Bangkok.

In 2018, he supported the charity work of Acasia in raising funds for the victims of the Tham Luang Cave flooding which took place in Thailand, through raising awareness of a virtual run on the Sofea platform[15]. The Tham Luang Cave Run[16] was also supported by the large Thai telecom CAT[17], while receiving publicity in major newspaper in Thailand.[18] During the same year, his efforts to raise the profile of distance running and get people involved, extended to collaborating in a non profit way with Enertor Global[19] to promote the Running world cup[20][21]. In this event, over 58853 participants[22] took part in submitting virtual running distances.

In addition to running for charity, he is a dedicated competitive long-distance runner[23][24] and has competed at over 100 events to distances up to and inclusive of 100km[25][26]. Recent running successes include events in Thailand[27][28] such as winning the 15 km distance of the North Face[29] Thailand Trail race[30] in Nakhon Ratchasima and the Columbia Trail Masters 11km distance event, finishing third overall.[31]
